Be a Buddy at Night to Shine
Registration for Night to Shine at FBC Woodstock is now full. However, there are more locations hosting Night to Shine in our area. Find a church in your area.
Each guest is required to be accompanied by a buddy who will provide companionship and any general assistance needed during the event.
Guidelines set by the Tim Tebow Foundation…
- A buddy 16 yrs. old or above and already has a relationship with the guest may attend with the guest. Buddies who are 18 yrs. old or older will be required to pass a background check. We will contact you directly regarding this.
- A buddy who will be a new “friend” of a guest must be at least 18 years old, must pass a background check done through First Baptist Church Woodstock, and attend a mandatory training at First Baptist on either Sunday, January 22 at 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. or Sunday, 29 at 3:30 – 5:00 p.m. in the Worship Center.
- Age exception…buddies who are 16-17 years old may serve as a new “friend” if they have prior experience working with individuals with special needs. No back ground check is necessary. Buddy must attend a mandatory training at First Baptist on either Sunday, January 22 at 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. or Sunday, 29 at 3:30 – 5:00 p.m. in the Worship Center.
PLEASE NOTE: Being a buddy is fun but also a very serious commitment so by registering you are committing to attend a training and to be here on February 10, 2017. Volunteer guidelines are set by the Tim Tebow Foundation.
